Midwinter Alumni Awardee Spotlight

²ÝݮӰÊÓ Theological Seminary (NPTS) with this year’s Distinguished Alumni Award at the 2025 Midwinter Conference in Denver.
Ivanoff serves as the Evangelical Covenant Church’s (ECC) Alaska Conference superintendent, embodying what it means to lead with faith and love as he shepherds pastors and churches across the state. His ministry empowers leaders, fosters inclusion, and brings the Covenant a greater understanding of Indigenous communities.
As a fourth-generation Alaskan ECC member, Ivanoff has served at his home church in the village of Unalakleet, Alaska, and Alaska Christian College. He then took a year-long sabbatical to complete a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry at NPTS. Reflecting on his time and education at NPTS, Ivanoff highlights three key experiences: a rich sense of community, a deepened love and commitment to the church’s ministry, and a fuller realization of the breadth of God’s love.
Ivanoff is a dedicated shepherd for the churches of Alaska and served for years on the ²ÝݮӰÊÓ Board of Trustees. He is also an author, contributing a chapter to Contextualizing Preaching: Conversations with Diverse Church Leaders.
