Welcome to 草莓影视!
We would like to welcome you and your family to campus and our orientation programs. Below you will find information about your arrival to campus, some of which is specific to particular cohorts and athletic teams. Additionally, all new students will participate in Threshold Week of Welcome (WOW!) New Student Orientation. Threshold WOW! is a long-standing 草莓影视 tradition designed to help you have a successful first year.
Traditional Undergraduate Students
Threshold WOW! is much more than just a weekend鈥攊t鈥檚 your whole experience of making the transition to 草莓影视. Use these pages to explore everything you鈥檒l need to know so you can dive right in when you arrive as a new student.
Threshold WOW! Orientation is Thursday, August 21鈥揥ednesday, August 27.

Fall Athletes
Fall athletes will arrive on campus prior to Threshold WOW!.
Football Early Arrival: Monday, August 11, 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Men鈥檚 and Women’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball Early Arrival: Thursday, August 14, 9:00am – 12:00pm.
Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Men’s and Women’s Golf, Women’s Tennis, Early Arrival: Friday, August 15, 9:00am – 12:00pm.
When you arrive on your assigned date, go to Campus Safety to get your student ID.聽 Then, if you live in:
- Anderson, Park North or Lunds, check in at Anderson
- Burgh or Sawyer Court, check in at Burgh
- Ohlson, Carmen Apartments or Houses, check in at Ohlson
Coaches will communicate further information about your arrival to campus pertaining to your respective sport.
Crux Students
Crux is a discipleship cohort where first-year students follow Jesus by reimagining Christianity, restructuring relationships, and reencountering the “other” in Chicago and at NPU. All Crux students鈥攃ommuters and residential鈥攁rrive early for a fall retreat to form a community and orient to the year.
Early arrival: Friday, August 15, 9:00 a.m.鈥�12:00 p.m.
When you arrive on your assigned date, go to Campus Safety to get your student ID.聽 Then, if you live in:
- Anderson, Park North or Lunds, check in at Anderson
- Burgh or Sawyer Court, check in at Burgh
- Ohlson, Carmen Apartments or Houses, check in at Ohlson
Crux staff will communicate further information about your arrival to campus during the summer.
International Students
International Student Orientation will take place online and in-person. Students will receive (1) a pre-arrival online orientation (you will receive the link via email over the summer) to be completed at your own pace and (2) an in-person orientation taking place August 19-21. All new international students must complete both the online and in-person orientations.
- International students should plan to arrive on Tuesday, August 19 for move-in. Please check the for updates and information regarding international travel to the U.S.
- In-person orientation sessions and events will occur on Wednesday, August 20 and Thursday, August 21. Undergraduate students will then continue with Threshold Orientation.
International students who anticipate a late arrival to campus (after August 19) should communicate with International Admissions. Find more information and view the full International Student Orientation schedule.
Music Students
Students who have auditioned and been accepted into the School of Music, Art, and Theatre are required to take placements in music theory/aural skills and keyboard skills prior to registering for music courses.
