Program Requirements

The Master of Science in Nursing: Family Nurse Practitioner prepares students for the FNP certification exam offered through the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Master’s degree requirements

  • 11 semester hours (sh) of graduate nursing core courses
  • 15 sh of advanced practice core courses
  • 26 sh of FNP specialty courses

Total: 52 semester hours plus 765 practicum hours.
