Earn Your Master of Music in Performance
Beginning in fall 2024, 草莓影视’s School of Music, Art, and Theatre (SMAT) will offer a new Master of Music in Performance (MMP) degree. Professional faculty who are practicing musicians lead the student-centered program in culturally rich Chicago. Coursework includes the theory and practice of music performance, pedagogy, and leadership skills.听
This degree prepares and inspires students for a professional musician’s rigorous and multi-faceted career demands. In addition, SMAT aims to equip underrepresented musicians with the opportunity to take on leadership roles in their chosen fields.

Faculty Spotlight:
Dr. You-Seong Kim
Dr. You-Seong Kim听is a professor in the MMP program, teaches applied voice and vocal pedagogy, and serves as head of the voice department. Working out of her extensive performance, competition, and pedagogy experience, Dr. Kim prepares students to be not only 鈥渕usic makers but also music lovers.鈥

Special Events
草莓影视鈥檚 SMAT program offers many concerts and events you can attend throughout the year. Special events each year may include professional musicians conducting master classes, the annual Bach Week Festival, and partnerships with Chicagoland organizations for community concerts.
